PW Business Meeting

Women and girls from the red light district in Calcutta find hope in their work at Freeset, a t-shirt and bag manufacturing company that teaches sewing skills to women who have few other opportunities.

The triennial Business Meeting of Presbyterian Women will be held beginning in the afternoon of Thursday, July 19 and conclude no later than 5 pm on Friday, July 20. Voting representatives will vote on amendments to PW’s bylaws, elect leaders for the 2012–2015 Churchwide Coordinating Team of Presbyterian Women, and decide programmatic emphases for 2012–2015.

Gathering mission project will support farmworkers

T-shirts for Presbyterian Women’s 2012 Churchwide Gathering feature not only the River of Hope logo, but also the signatures of the women who made the shirts.

Consider bringing a prepaid gift card to be collected at the Churchwide Gathering for Beth-El Farmworker Ministry, Inc. The ministry helps migrant farmworkers in three Florida communities—Wimauma, Immokalee and Arcadia. Beth-El offers worship services, extensive educational programs, a food pantry, child care and many other services to support migrant workers.
