In October 2011, 27 Presbyterian women visited India to build relationships with our Indian sisters and brothers. As participants visited Delhi, Shillong, Kolkata, Agra and Durgapur, they learned about the impact of environmental issues and human trafficking on women and children throughout Asia. They visited with church partners to learn about projects and relationships that are helping women, men and children create brighter futures.
Learn more about the 2011 Exchange (including how to invite a participant to speak at your next event) and read the full report in the January/February 2012 issue of Horizons. Subscribe now.
And don’t forget to register for the PW Gathering in July 2012, where you can meet Indian women who will be completing the exchange part of the trip.

2012 Birthday Offering
Your generous support of the 2012 Birthday Offering will have a life-changing impact. Through the Birthday Offering, Presbyterian Women will financially and prayerfully support the work of a solar energy project In Arkansas and Haiti, the construction of a gymnasium for Romanian orphans, and the rescue and rehabilitation of young girls in the Atlanta area who are victims of sex trafficking. Rural women and empowerment at the Commission on the Status of Women
A group of Presbyterian Women joined the delegation coordinated by the Presbyterian UN Office. They learned about the most pressing issues for women living in rural areas and how women’s development and empowerment lift up whole communities. Read reflections from participants and learn how you can engage these issues.
Mission action by auction
A silent auction will be held at the 2012 Churchwide Gathering. All proceeds from the auction will benefit the PW Mission Pledge, Birthday Offering or Thank Offering. Even if you're not attending the Gathering you (or your PW group) can donate new items to be auctioned during the event.
