Help us share the good news!

Two documentaries produced by PDA are to be released this fall, and we need your help to have them aired on your local NBC and ABC stations.

Coming Home: Hurricane Katrina Five Years Later is available on NBC stations beginning in September.

Kepulihan: Stories from the Tsunami is available on ABC stations beginning in November.

Download a  brochure with more information about both special broadcasts, and it can be printed to share with your congregation.

Download a bulletin insert to encourage your congregation to request the NBC special.

Volunteers needed

Local volunteers helped in Tennessee following May flooding. Work teams will also be needed. Photo by Greg Breetz.

Volunteer work teams are needed in Georgia and Tennessee during the upcoming months in response to flooding.

Disaster recovery often takes years, and help is needed long after the media fades.

Volunteers are still needed in many places around the United States, including Louisiana, Mississippi and Florida, following 2005 Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, and Wilma, in Iowa, following 2008 flooding and in Georgia and West Virginia following 2009 flooding. Please explore the work team opportunities map to find where your group might plan a short term mission trip to help with disaster recovery efforts.
