The number of mission positions that World Mission will be able to fill will be dependent on the funding available for the appointment of new mission personnel. World Mission is committed to sending as many mission workers as our congregations and members will support.
English Teacher, Ethiopia, co-worker
Teachers working with the Ethiopian Evangelical Church Mekane Yesus, Bethel Synods, are Christians called to give witness to Jesus Christ while serving the church by providing English language instruction in the classroom and living in community with the people of Ethiopia.
Evangelist-Development Worker, Ethiopia, co-worker
The co-worker, together with Ethiopian colleagues, will implement a community development program among the Bali people following the Community Health and Evangelism (CHE) model. The coworker will not be implementing the program, they will facilitate the implementation. Their Ethiopian colleagues are expected to do the implementation piece.
Professor / Lecturer in Old Testament, Malawi, co-worker
The Old Testament professor/lecturer will teach Old Testament and Hebrew courses to first- through fourth-year diploma and bachelor’s degree students.
Education Facilitator, Sudan, co-worker
The education facilitator will assist the staff of the Presbyterian Church of Sudan’s education department on a project addressing the immense educational needs of school-aged children in the Jonglei and Upper Nile states of the Republic of South Sudan.
Discipleship and Church Growth Specialist, Zambia, co-worker
This specialist will work with the leadership of the Church of Central Africa Presbyterian, Synod of Zambia to increase CCAP’s engagement in evangelism and church growth. The specialist will provide leadership that includes organizing and implementing training opportunities, seminars, and workshops, as well as follow-up accompaniment.
Regional Liaison for East Asia, South Korea, co-worker
The regional liaison (RL) of East Asia will be based in South Korea but relate to partners not only there but in North Korea, Japan, Taiwan and China. The RL will serve as a facilitator of Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) support for partner programs, relationships and activities, and as an implementer of regional strategies. He or she will support PC(USA) mission personnel in communications, information sharing, mentoring/guiding, encouraging and missiological reflection.
Regional Liaison for Southeast Asia, Thailand, co-worker
The regional liaison (RL) will be based in Bangkok, which is centrally located to serve SE Asia. The RL will relate to the Church of Christ in Thailand (CCT) but also cover the nations of Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines. The RL will serve as a facilitator of Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) support for partner programs, relationships and activities and as an implementer of regional strategies. He or she will support PC(USA) mission personnel in communications, information sharing, mentoring/guiding, encouraging and missiological reflection.
English Teacher, China, co-worker
The co-worker will teach English to students while being fully active in the life of the seminary and the local church in Nanjing, China.
Young Adult Volunteer Site Coordinator, Korea, co-worker
The co-worker will implement and promote the YAV program, working closely and maintaining regular communication with YAVs, placement supervisors, leaders of Hannam University and the Presbyterian Church of Korea, as well as the YAV office and other WM offices related to the position.
Bible School Teacher, Vietnam, co-worker
The co-worker will teach a variety of courses at the training center of the United Presbyterian Church of Vietnam to prepare students for ministry.
Lecturer, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, co-worker
The co-worker will teach one of the following subjects at Pyongyang University of Science and Technology: computer science, financial management, electrical engineering, agricultural and life sciences, public health or English language.
Joining Hands Facilitator, Haiti, Co-worker
The Joining Hands facilitator will help coordinate the work of, and facilitate dialogue and mediation/negotiation among, the local grassroots organizations, NGOs and churches that make up the PC(USA)’s Joining Hands network in Haiti.
Professor of Biblical Studies, Colombia, co-worker
The co-worker will teach courses in both Old Testament and New Testament and on the literature, languages and religions of the biblical world at the Reformed University of Colombia (CUR).
Professor of Bible, Systematic Theology or Pastoral Theology, Peru, co-worker
The co-worker will teach undergraduate courses in Bible, systematic theology or pastoral theology full-time at the Universidad Biblica de Latin America in Lima (soon to be called theUniversidad Teologica de Lima).

Intercultural Encounter Facilitator, Guatemala, co-worker
The co-worker will serve as team member for CEDEPCA's Intercultural Encounter program, which offers churches, universities and theological seminaries the opportunity to discover Guatemala in all its diversity, beauty and complexity. Through immersion and work projects, people from the North are able to experience the everyday life of Guatemala and work alongside local communities.
Advisor to NOROC Foundation and Children Youth Worker, Romania, co-worker
The co-worker will serve under the direction of NOROC Tulcea as a spiritual shepherd and psychosocial counselor and advocate for children at risk in orphanages in Tulcea County. He or she also will assist in capacity building and planning among staff.
English Teacher and Evangelist, Middle East, co-worker
The co-worker will teach English at a Christian education center in the Middle East. The bulk of the person's time will be devoted to doing outreach with and on behalf of the Reformed Church.
Regional Liaison for the Balkan States, Turkey and Ira n, co-worker
The co-worker will be based in the region. The RL will serve as a facilitator of Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) support for partner programs, relationships and activities and as an implementer of regional strategies. He or she will support PC(USA) mission personnel in communications, information sharing, mentoring/guiding, encouraging and missiological reflection. In addition, the co-worker will serve as a resource for communication between the partners and PC(USA) entities in conjunction with World Mission and other program units of the GAMC.
Church Development Specialist/Pastor to Ira nian, Middle East, co-worker
The co-worker will assist the leadership of our partner church in two specific areas: (1) Building the capacity of that minority church by providing opportunities for leadership development and continuing education, sabbatical opportunities for pastors, and collaboration with the global church. (2) Providing ministry to Ira nian refugees in diaspora in collaboration with partner churches and other Christian organizations and NGOs.

Logistics and Communication Facilitator, Ethiopia, long-term volunteer
The logistics and communication facilitator will live in community with the people of Akobo while assisting in the development and health work taking place through PRDA and the Akobo Hospital.
Financial Accountability Facilitator, Lesotho, long-term volunteer
The financial accountability facilitator will work with the Lesotho Evangelical Church administrator, to whom the facilitator will be immediately accountable, to build the LEC’s capacity to exercise good stewardship of its money and other resources and to enhance the accountability of the central office and other national denominational entities to the LEC as a whole.
Teacher of English, Thailand, long-term volunteer
These long-term volunteers will teach English at the higher elementary and/or secondary school level. The need is for native English speakers who will teach in conjunction with Thai English teachers.
