YAV in Korea

I am a 26-year-old from Albuquerque, NM. I am headed to South Korea as a Young Adult Volunteer, where I will go through four months of language study, after which I will begin my volunteer placement. During language study, I'll also be getting involved in the church community on the university campus where I will live and figuring out what my job placement should be with placement supervisors. I believe the most likely outcome is that I will teach English to disadvantaged children. So far, I've called myself a games enthusiast, a camp counselor, a drummer, an aspiring pianist, an engineer, and a physicist; now I get to add YAV to the list!
The Young Adult Volunteer program is a year-long service program for young adults between ages 19 and 30. Read more about the YAV program here
