Aziz Sadaghiani came under appointment as a mission co-worker with the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) in 1998. After working as a social worker for 19 years in Germany helping with Iranian refugee settlement, he began work with the Iranian Presbyterian Fellowship in Europe in 1998, thus giving his work a Christian framework.

Aziz serves the Persian-speaking Iranian people as they leave Iran and settle in Europe. Many go to Germany because geographically it is centrally located and relatively easy to get to over land. Germany has favorable laws for refugees and Aziz helps the people work through the legal system to obtain assylum. As an Iranian Christian, Aziz feels called to mission service because of his desire to share his faith with the people he assists.

With a background in social work and refugee resettlement and his Christian commitment, Aziz is well suited for to work with the Iranian Presbyterian Fellowship. He worked for six years in Hamburg, Germany, with refugee youth and six years as a social worker and translator in a lawyer's office in Hamburg. Aziz was educated in Iran and received his master's degree at Fachhoch Schole.

Aziz and his wife Nezhat are the parents of two adult daughters, Yasmin and Ladan. They are members of the Iranian Presbyterian Church in Berlin.

Birthdays:
Aziz - December 1
Nezhat - July 24
