As an east Tennessee native, I’m in love with sweet tea. Other random turn-ons include hammocks, Angry Birds, and random conversations about one’s philosophy of life over good coffee. I’m also a sucker for watching or playing sports at any time during the day. I’m currently trying to kick my habit of starting books and never finishing them. I graduated from Auburn University in December of 2010 with a degree in Philosophy/Religious Studies and Anthropology, and while in Auburn I have had the pleasure to serve as Sr. High Youth Director and even a short time as Interim for Christian Education at FPC Auburn.
I have been placed in Belfast, Northern Ireland with seven other YAVs. I will be serving with the Dundonald Family and Community Initiative and Dundonald Methodist Church in East Belfast, and I can't wait to get started!
The Young Adult Volunteer program is a year-long service program for young adults between ages 19 and 30. Read more about the YAV program here
