Jacquelyn Wonsey is an energetic young professional committed to serving her community and educating others on issues of social justice. She is coming to YAV after working at Rider University as the Coordinator of Community Service/House Director where she worked with the Rider Bonner Community Scholar Program. Jacquelyn is very excited for her year in Guatemala where she will be serving three days a week in Pachaj, Cantel at the local health clinic, Comite de Salud and the other two days she will serve in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala, with Nuevos Horizontes in their women's shelter. Jacquelyn has a B.A. in Spanish and an M.S. in Student Affairs in Higher Education. She loves working with college aged students and plans to continue this work upon her return.
The Young Adult Volunteer program is a year-long service program for young adults between ages 19 and 30. Read more about the YAV program here
