YAV in New Orleans
Project Homecoming
Blog
I was born in Savannah, Ga. When I was 4 years old I moved to Charlotte, North Carolina and was raised within a small church community that took me around the country to do mission work. I will be volunteering as a Young Adult Volunteer in New Orleans, working with Project Homecoming which was established after Hurricane Katrina to rebuild houses for the low income and handicapped of the area. I can't think of a better way to spend my first year out of high school than by helping the people of New Orleans to come home.
The Young Adult Volunteer program is a year-long service program for young adults between ages 19 and 30. Read more about the YAV program here
