Anna grew up at First Presbyterian Church in Decatur, Alabama. She spent many summers as a camper and later as a counselor and lifeguard at Camp Maranatha, North Alabama Presbytery's Camp and Conference Center. In May 2011, she graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Kinesiology and an International Studies minor.
As a Youth Advisory Delegate to the 218th General Assembly, Anna was introduced to Young Adult Volunteers (YAV), a program she knew was worth exploring. During her senior year of college, Anna began the discernment and application process and is excited to spend a year as a YAV in South Korea. From August 2011 until July 2012, Anna will serve in Daejeon, South Korea. There she will be working with a children's center as well as partnering with a church.
The Young Adult Volunteer program is a year-long service program for young adults between ages 19 and 30. Read more about the YAV program here
