A note from our partners in Chile
A note from the Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Chile nine months after the earthquake (the church building in Talca fell during the quake):
Thank you for your concern. Our School for Special-Needs Children in Talca is operating normally. We are looking at the possibility of building more classrooms because the Ministry of Education is demanding that we offer a full schedule of classes. So far we have not been able to fulfill this requirement.
We always remember our two students who died in the earthquake. The night of the earthquake Marcelo Sepúlveda and Sebastián Valdivia were in the city of Constitución, where they had gone for the weekend. Marcelo was Sebastián's uncle. Marcelo's whole family, a total of eight people, died in the quake. This was a very sad blow for our whole community; we thank you for your prayers.
The Rev. Hugo Núñez, Moderator
