ICARE (Illubabor Children Agape Response)

Charles Haspels Bible School

This newly completed Bible School has begun training lay leaders for the seven people groups within the Southwest Bethel Synod of the EECMY. Through their passion for evangelism, Christian believers have started over 25 new congregations in the last five years. Lay leaders are leading the movement but need more training, since most have no Bible training and many have only a

sixth grade education. The Bible School is their only opportunity for further education. Funding is needed for student scholarships, training conferences and the envisioned two-year Bible program.

EGST pursues this mission primarily by training those who will serve as professors and instructors in the theological training programs of Ethiopia's many churches.

Anuak Bible Translation (EECMY)

The Anuak Bible Translation work has pushed forward but still has some of the longer Old Testament books to translate, such as Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel. The Anuak church in Ethiopia is growing and the demand for scripture has increased. God has provided a well-qualified translation team. Your gift will help complete the translation of the Bible for a growing group of Christians among a largely unreached people group that extends into neighboring Sudan.
